It's been a while since I've been able to fully wander around with my camera. This past bank holiday I took the opportunity to go to Swansea - while discussing new business ideas and upcoming projects with Mergant Productions UK - and took some long awaited shots. I'm happy to be back in action, and I promise that come September, there will be an influx of new photos that not even my creative mind will be able to get enough of.

Once again, life has gotten the best of me. Been very busy sorting things out, and looking for inspiration more than anything, but I have been shooting. Here are some of my favourite shots I've taken recently. (All shots will be uploaded to my portfolio page).
Been so busy lately that I've had no time to shoot any new photos. With starting a new job that takes up most of my time, trying to relax in between and also just having no creative drive... it's been difficult. I never want to just recycle old material because fresh content is always, well, fresh. I want to keep my work up to date, not just with myself and what I'm doing, but with the world around me that constantly changes.
It's difficult to shoot portraiture photography with just one model. It's difficult to shoot families with no families. The state of the world has made it so difficult for everyone to keep going right now, especially small businesses. Hopefully there will be new photos. I'm looking forward to the future. Until then ✌️ Things are proving really difficult currently for myself and other photographers, and I've been trying to keep myself active by taking photos but my creativity levels are down being inside all the time and I feel like all I'm taking photos of is random objects around my house. My partner always agrees to be my model however (and looks very good in photos for that matter, despite what he thinks), and I took some sweet shots last time we went out on a walk. These were taken with my 35mm lens at a range of f1.8 - f2.2, and we were so lucky to catch the beautiful sunlight during golden hour (just before my card ran out of memory - just my luck).
I also recently received a new lens as a gift for my birthday, a 85mm f1.8 manual focus lens. Sure, I wanted a 85mm, but I was not expecting it to be manual focus only (considering it says AF Nikkor on it), and have been struggling to get used to it. As much as I use manual focus sometimes, it's just so much easier and so much faster to use auto focus. But I suppose as a "proper" photographer I should be able to use manual focus... xD I'm opening back up for shoots though, mainly focusing on family and baby shoots, as well as headshots, or any other kind of portraiture. Live music photos will also come back soon hopefully. Check out my social media posts below! I'm looking to do some free shoots to build my portfolio, specifically family and baby shoots, following social distancing rules. I want to make it as safe as possible for everyone while still running my business. Hope to see some new faces make a debut on here! https://www.facebook.com/nsitekphotography/ https://twitter.com/nsitekphoto https://www.instagram.com/nsitekphoto/ Check out the photos I took of the night!
Check out the photos I took of X Twenty-Two rocking the Swansea Fringe last Saturday! New photos on my EyeEm from my recent trip to Tatry (Tatras mountains) in Poland; one of the most beautiful (yet dangerous) places I've ever visited. All photos available for purchase.
Stay tuned for more! Do you need photos taken? Whether for personal or business use, contact me and I'll see what I can do for you. |
